The story picks up a few years after the events of the first film. The town of Chanderi is once again under threat, this time from a terrifying new entity known as —a headless malevolent spirit who abducts women from the town. Vicky (Rajkummar Rao), who is still waiting for the return of his mysterious love interest (Shraddha Kapoor), is forced into action when his friend Bittu’s girlfriend, Chitti, goes missing. The friends soon discover that Sarkata is even more powerful than Stree and is seeking revenge against those responsible for the original spirit's demise.
