Eyewitness takes place in the village of Tivoli, New York, about 62 miles north of Manhattan. The story focuses on two teenagers, Lukas Waldenbeck (James Paxton) and Philip Shea (Tyler Young), who are facing two major crises and turning points in their lives. The two boys are just entering a romantic relationship, something that could be really toxic for their lives in a parochial small town. This is very difficult for Lukas, a prominent jock in his high school who isn’t ready yet to come to terms with his sexuality and is desperate to keep it a secret from his conservative family and the community. The dilemma that Lukas faces gradually begins to tear him apart until he is finally able to come to grips with what is reality in his life.
